Let's Rock The Moor! 2009
Celebrated singer-songwriter Nick Heyward headlined the 2009 Let's Rock The Moor!, an open air charity concert which brought the Cookham Festival 2009 to a close, in style. The concert, a first for the Festival and Cookham, was on the Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th at 6.30pm on Cookham Moor. Strong support acts included Soul'd Out, Temposhark, The Plants and Burdock.

During the afternoon the Cookham Festival featured May Day on the Moor from noon to 5.30pm. It featured local bands playing live all afternoon, from 12.30pm on the main stage, as well as a variety of other May day activities for all ages next to the main concert arena.

The Cookham Festival Committee Chairman Mike Copland, said 'The twelve day Art and Music Festival was a celebration of the talent that exists across the community and featured many new events for 2009. The May Day on the Moor event provided the opportunity for people of all ages, and with a wide range of skills, to join in, express themselves and enjoy the work and performances of others in the community. Let's Rock The Moor! was a unique opportunity to hear internationally renowned musicians on your doorstep alongside some great local young talent. The Cookham Festival was for everyone.'
